I don't know how to categorize myself. I feel outside the box.

When I was 22, I was awarded a two year scholarship to Art College. After a grueling year of full time College and a full time job, I dropped out. I could not keep up the pace. I continued to study with various teachers. I studied art history. I've had many studios. My favorites were above the Poor Alex Theatre at Bloor & Brunswick - here in my home town of Toronto, Canada. I mixed with many creative minds and conceptualists. It was a special time of personal growth, I still charish. I have now been painting for over 20 years.

I only paint when I feel inspired to do so. It is not my job - It is my passion. I often paint women because my paintings are mostly autobiographical. They tell the stories of women I have known and loved, but most often I consider each a type of self portrait. A reflection of my thoughts and times.

I enjoy a diverse array of artisan work. I've designed sets & accessories for TV productions. I've had my own line of cosmetics, jewlery, retail store. I enjoy photography. I occasionally write poems and I've published short stories. I enjoy cooking, sewing - candle,wine & craft making. Anything creative seems like play therapy to me. I love to play!

I enjoy being a jack of artistic trades. I have no need to be a master of anything. I only want to absorb and reflect. I would be thrilled if you found your own reflections in the depictions of mine.

Every original painting is authenticated with my blood. This way my DNA is imprinted on the canvas and/or stretchers.
